Biography

Anna Baum was the daughter of Daniel Baum Sr. and Asenath (Rothrock) Baum of Pennsylvania. She was the sister of Mary, George, David, Henry, Margaret, Susannah, Elizabeth, Daniel, Jonas, Jesse, and Simon. Anna was born in Ross or Pickaway County, Ohio, in 1824. When she was a baby, In 1825, her family moved to Carroll County, Indiana, just as the town of Delphi was being established. An interesting account of their journey by boat down the Sciota River to the Ohio River, then up the Wabash to Deer Creek in Carroll County, can be found on Anna's brother, Daniel's, Find A Grave memorial (link below).

Anna married John G. Vail in 1844 in Carroll County, Indiana. She died the following year.
