Biography

Rhoda Baxter, widow of Malachi, pensioned under Certificate No. 5,286. In declaration, dated June 29, 1837, states she is a resident of Tisbury, Mass.; aged 77; that she is a widow of Malachi Baxter, to who she was married at Tisbury, April 24, 1777, by Rev. Geo. Demons. That her husband died at Tisbury, July 17, 1835.

Children: John Baxter, Cynthia Luce, Abagail Harding, Betsey Butler, and Sally Dexter, as appears by Certificate of Register of Probate, Dukes County, Mass., dated April 17, 1854
