Paul married Anne Glemham, daughter of Sir Henry Glemhan, of Glemham, Suffolk and Lady Anne Sackville, daughter of Sir Thomas Sackville, 1st Earl of Dorset, in or before 1613.[6] Their surviving children were Paul, Anne, Elizabeth, Mary and Cecilia. [7]
Paul was created a Baronet by King James I on 24 September 1611, and was subsequently knighted on 19 July 1614.[8]
He succeeded his father to the family estates, 1 October 1616, and was Sheriff of Essex, 1617/18.[9]
Paul was created Baron Bayning of Horkesley, Essex, England on 27 February 1627/28, and shortly thereafter, he was created Viscount Bayning of Sudbury, Suffolk, England, on 8 March 1627/28.[10]
