This generation is part of the royal ancestry developed for the Great Migration immigrant Mary Gye in 1961.[3][4] It is lacking in documentation and requires additional evidence to be proven. It hinges a Visitation pedigree where Jane Baynton, daughter and heir of Henry Baynton, is said to have married Thomas Prowse of Devon. An assumption is then made that this Thomas Prowse is identical to Thomas Prowse of Prowse in Sandford whose lands descended to the family of Gye. There is no other evidence which connects the Prowse family of Devon to the Baynton family of Wiltshire.
