Jane was baptised on November 21, 1823 and the previous unsourced record shows she was born on November 4[1]in Helston. Her parents were William Beaglehole and Elizabeth Tresidder[2]
She was 24 when she arrived in Port Adelaide with her husband Edward Millstead on board the PRINCESS ROYAL. They arrived on June 14 1848. This was the year prior to her mother and brothers so perhaps they sent word home and encouraged the others to follow. His occupation in Cornwall was listed as "Farmer"[3]
Jane was a widow, aged 89, when she passed away on June 8, 1913 at the home of C. H. Rowe, Annersley Avenue, North Norwood. She left 4 sons, 3 daughters, 25 granchildren and 38 great granchildren[4][5].
