He was elected surveyor of highways 1701,1714, "to see to the act relating to horses" 1705, constable 1706, fenceviewer 1712, selectman 1717-9,1727-9, tithingman 1726. He was a partner in the Land Bank 1740. He resided on Adams St. about opposite Robertson St. in 1738 when a road was proposed from his place to Moore's Farm, the old Coach Road".
