Beals-171 and Beals-1612 appear to represent the same person because: It looks like they are the same.

"Daniel Beals was one of the great bear hunters of his time, and had many hand to hand combats with bruin" - from the Chronology of Beals Family by Gershum Perdow.

Daniel and Susannah moved with their children to Ohio in 1799, but moved several times finally moving to Randolph County, Indiana where Susannah was received at the Cherry Grove Monthly Meeting (Quaker) on 12 Oct 1826 and then received at the White River Monthly Meeting (Quaker) in January of 1834. Daniel had been dismissed from Fairfield MM (Virginia) for disunity. He requested membership at Cherry Grove MM but was denied.
