Biography

Margaret (Bean) Taylor is a member of Clan MacBean.

Margaret Bean was a member of Hampton 1st Church. She married, as his second wife, in 1695 at Exeter, William Taylor, Jr., who died in 1736, the son of William Taylor, Sr and Ann (Wyeth) Taylor.

They had eight children, all born in Exeter and Kingston, NH:

Joseph Taylor, married Penelope Favor Margaret Taylor, married Tristam Sanborn Benjamin Taylor, died June 19, 1729 in Exeter Anna Taylor, born around 1704, married Samuel Scribner Sarah Taylor, married 1716 in Exeter, Isaac Clifford Abigail Taylor, married October 16, 1734, Richard Hubbard Mary Taylor, married October 26, 1767 Jedidiah Philbrick

In 1729, Benjamin died by drowning in the Exeter River.

There is one more son, who is listed as in this family, named Nathan Taylor, born February 25, 1674. This was William Taylor's child by his first marriage, and a "wayward son." In 1730, he was arrested and put in jail and his father had to pay his fine, which put the family in financial distress. There was trouble after his father's death, when he tried to sell, illegally, his share of his father's estate. He finally signed a quit-claim deed of his share to his mother and brothers and sisters.

I added Anne (Taylor) Goodwin as Margaret's daughter based on information at Ancestry, but I see that the connection is unlikely due to Margaret's age at Anne's birth and the fact that Margaret already had a daughter Anna.
