Mary Bean was born 1696, at Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, the daughter of Daniel Bean and Mary (Fifield) Bean. Mary Bean married John Quinby , son of John and Mary (Mudgett) Quinby.

Mary and John moved from Exeter to Kingston after their two sons John Quinby and Daniel Quinby were born. Their son, John married first Jemima Sargent, and second Martha Sargent, the daughter of Phillip and Martha (Hadley) Sargent.
