Amanda (Bean) Whitney is a member of Clan MacBean.

On New Years Day, 1845, Amanda Melvina Bean married Phineas Whitney.

Amanda and Phineas had four children:

Sumner W. Whitney, born Ausust 21, 1845; Pamila L. Whitney, born February 29, 1848; George Clinton Whitney, born April 17, 1850; Lizzie F. Whitney, born March 24, 1852
