- Maggie had an older sister named Mary - Research is needed to determine if she lived through 1940 and who she married
- Maggie's gravestone indicates she had a daughter named Virginia. A 2 year old child named Virginia was enumerated on the line below Maggie and identified as the niece of the head of household
- Maggie was living with her father and step-mother in Gulf County, Florida, using the name Maggie Beard when enumerated for the 1935 Census
- Maggie's father Charles died in 1938; oral history found at Ancestry and confirmed during conversations with Maggie and Lawrence's grand-daughter indicates that her step-mother turned out all of Charles' children following his death.
