In her father's will she is identified by "... as I have given my...daughter Peggy McCandleys sic]... heretofore as much of my Estate as I think[her] entitled to I therefore make no provision [for her] herein..." In 1850 census, Barren Co, KY, Margaret's age given as 53, born in Tennessee.
