Elizabeth Cecelia Beard was born on 23 Jul 1898 in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana, her father, Charles Albert Beard (1864-1928) and her mother, Lillian Barbara Lash (1864-1935). She married Claude Williams Somers (1893-1946) in 1919. She then married James E. Moore (1879-1952) in 1948. She then married Henry William Lehr on 30 Sep1954 in Brooklyn, Indiana. She died on 17 Feb 1997 in Martinsville, Washington Township, Morgan, Indiana and buried in Center Valley Cemetery, Center Valley, Hendricks County, Indiana.
