The pairing of John Richard Beasley and Margaret Day is used in a wide variety of unsourced family trees, often as a son of John Pitts Beasley and Sarah Elizabeth Lisle which is, itself, a commonly mistaken conflation of real people. In searching records at Ancestry and Family Search, I've been unable to find even an alleged source other than being copied from other unsourced Trees. Even the specific death data for John Richard does not appear anywhere I can find.

I don't remember a record of the father of Daniel on Wikitree other than this profile. Regards

I just checked Public Trees on Ancestry for John Richard Beasley m Margaret Day. There are more than 50 trees with scant evidence that place John Richard as the son of John Pitts Beasley and Sarah/Elizabeth Lilse. This is certainly not true. For one thing, we have extensive research on JPB and DNA evidence to show that his father was John Pitts as the illegitimate child of a Beasley woman, daughter of William Beasley. Sarah Lilse or Liles was a woman married to a John Beasley in a distinctly different lineage. Her name is often called Sarah Elizabeth to account for the fact that JPB's wife was Elizabeth, last name unknown, while the actual Lilse woman was Sarah.
