James Marcus Beasley was born on 14 Feb 1878, son of James Elbert Beasley (1850 - 1892) and Mary Ann (Barron) Beasley (1847 - 1929).

His siblings were:

  3. Sarah Sallie (Beasley) Harrison (1873 - 1911)
  4. John Rankin Beasley (1875 - 1957)

James married Synthia Ella Chance (1879 - 1961). Their daughter was Julia Ella (Beasley) Ashley (1907 - 1976).

James died on 4 May 1957 in Mississippi, United States aged 79.
