Biography

1. Moved to old Pontotoc Co. Mississippi in 1843. 2. Bought land in Pontotoc Co. Miss. 1847, sold last land there in 1865, presumably on eve of moving to Tennessee. After his death, his wife returned to Miss. living with son Andrew where she was found in 1870 Lee Co. Miss. census 3. Buried in Tennessee, probably McNairy County. 4. BEASLEY -- Mr. C. Spencer Beasley, 1013 Mars Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906 - Is a descendant of Jacob Beasley wife Margaret and his land grant seems to have been part in Chester County and part in Fairfield. He had four sons: Peter, who was killed in the Continental Line; Jacob (Jr.) and Adam about whom Mr. Beasley has no info; George, who married Mary Culp, daughter of Peter Culp
