Charlotte Mary Beauchamp was born in 1887 in Wellington, New Zealand. She was the daughter of Harold Beauchamp and Anne Dyer and her younger sister was Katherine Mansfield [1].

In Aug 1912, Charlotte went to Canada on the ship Makura aged 25 years [3].
Charlotte married John Charles Campbell Perkins in 1913 in New Zealand but he died in 1918 [4]. Her second marriage was to Cecil Pickthall and they married in 1923 at St George Hanover Square [5].
