John was the son of Sir Henry de Beaumont, 1st Lord Beaumont, Earl of Buchan, who was born in France Abt 1285 and died 10 Mar 1339/1340, in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England (Age ~ 55 years). His mother was Alice Comyn, Countess of Buchan, b. in Scotland Abt 1287 and died 3 Jul 1349 (Age ~ 62 years) They were married in Buchan before 4 Jul 1310 [2, 17, 18, 19] [7] John's brothers and sisters comprised the following:
Before Jun 1337 [1, 2, 3, 4, 20] [7] John married Lady Eleanor Plantagenet, who was born Abt 1318, in Grismond Castle, Monmouthshire, England and d. 11 Jan 1371-1372, Arundel, Sussex, England at about 54 years of age. [7] He was her first husband. [2, 3][7]
John died after 10 MAY 1342[14] in Beaumont, Staffordshire, England[15] He died at a tournament at Northampton. [2][7] He was buried before 25 May 1342 [16]
