Joseph Edouard was born and baptized 26 May 1817 in L'Assomption. He was the son of Ecuier marchand Binjamin Beaupre and his wife Julie Mercier. His godparents were Robert Lecavalier (signs Rt LeCavelié) and Marguerite Leblanc (signs Veuve Le Roultier?), the father signs Benjamin Beauprê. [1][2][3]
On 23 May 1845, in L'Assomption, Joseph Edouard Beaupré adult son of deceased Benjamin Beaupre and deceased Julie Mercier married Josephine Delisle minor daughter of Jean Baptiste Delisle and Marguerite Desroches. Witnesses include groom's uncle, Modeste Poisson. Both the groom signs (Joseph E. Beaupré) along with the witnesses. A child born the day prior is legitimized. [4]
Joseph Edouard Beaupré, 63 year old widower of Marie Joséphine Delisle, died 21 Dec 1880. He was buried in Ste-Julienne 24 Dec 1880. [5][6]
