Thomas Alfred Beaver of Devonport, son of William (a printer) & Amelia, was baptised in 1837 in the Parish of Stoke Damerel, Devon.[1]
In 1841 Thomas Beaver (age 3) lived at Ker Street in Stoke Damerel with his father William (35-39, Printer), mother Amelia (30-34), and seven siblings: Louisa (10), William (8), Emily (6), Eliza (4), Sophia (2), and Caroline (6 months).[2]
In 1851 Thomas Beaver (age 13, Printer Boy) lived at Market Lane in Stoke Damerel with his father William (46, Printer Compositor), mother Amelia (45), and eight siblings: William (19, Printer Compositor), Emily (16), Eliza (15, Tailoress), Sophia (11, Scholar), Caroline (9, Scholar), Ellen (6, Scholar), Gemima (3, Scholar), and Jessey (0), as well as five lodgers: Amelia Turpin (21, Dress Maker), William Sellick (30, Painter), Sarah Segar (29, Dress Maker), William Segar (5, Scholar), and Charles Segar (3, Scholar).[3]
Thomas was in a relationship with Caroline Coite from at least 1861 - though they lived together as husband and wife on the 1861 census, their marriage was not registered until 1867.
In 1861 Thomas Beaver (age 23, Printers Compositer) lived at Seward Street in St Luke, Middlesex with his wife Caroline (21).[4]
The marriage of Thomas Alfred Beaver and Caroline Coite was registered in Shoreditch, London in the third quarter of 1867.[5]
In 1871 Thoma A Bever (age 32, Printer Compositor) lived at Whitecross Street in St Luke with his wife Caroline (31).[6]
Thomas' wife Caroline Beaver passed away in 1874.
Thomas Alfred Beaver (son of William Beaver) married Mary Bennett (daughter of James Bennett) on 25 Apr 1875 at St Andrew's, Holborn, Middlesex.[7] The marriage was regitered in London City in the second quarter of the year.[8]
In 1881 Thomas A Beaver (age 40, Printer (Compositor)) lived at Bow St in West Ham, Essex with his wife Mary (25) and two sons: Albert J (3) and George E (1).[9]
In 1891 Thomas Beaver (age 50, Compositor) lived at Erith Road in Bexley, Kent with his wife Mary (35) and seven children: Thomas (16, Blacksmith), Albert (14), George (12, Scholar), William (10, Scholar), Mary (7, Scholar), Victoria (4, Scholar), and Edward (1).[10]
In 1901 Thomas Beaver (age 60, Compositor) lived at Eagle Street in Saint George the Martyr, Middlesex with his wife Mary (45) and three children: Amelia (16), Edward (11), and Arthur (6).[11]
In 1911 Thomas Alfred Beaver (age 73, Compositor Profession) lived in St Andrew Holborn Above the Bars..., London with his wife Mary (55, Receiving Old Age Pension) and son Arthur Lowis (16, Copper Plate Printer).[12]
Thomas A Beaver passed away in 1911, aged 74 years. His death was registered in Strand, London in the last quarter of the year.[13]
