At the same time as William Beaver, also living in Stoke Damerel, on Market Lane, is a Richard Beaver, born 1791-1795 in Devon, with his wife Ann (same age), son Henry (age 19-23), and daughter Maryann (age 20-24).[1]
There is a marriage license for Richard Beaver and Ann Snowden (or Sowden) in Stoke Damerel, Devon, on November 15, 1804[2]. William was born in 1805.
Richard and Ann are the parents of two children who were baptized in the Morice Street Wesleyan chapel in Devonport, the same chapel where Amelia Harris (wife of William) was probably baptized. The children are John Henry Beaver, born July 11, 1820 and christened Sept 4[3], and Hariot Beaver, born November 7, 1816 and christened March 3, 1817[4]
