Mrs. Parson was born in Milo (near Van Buren) to the late Adam and Harriett (Forsythe) Beck, and lived in Grant County all of her life. She married Dennis Parson on Feb. 14, 1946. He died April 7, 1994.
She previously worked at Marion Paper Box for 17 years, and had worked at Midwest Paper and Osborn Paper.
LaDonna was a warm, caring person with an excellent sense of humor. Family was extremely important to her, and she spent her live caring for them, bringing joy and laughter to their lives. She was a dedicated Christian, and a member of God's Grace United Methodist Church, spending many years at the former Grace United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School to the kindergarten class for more than 30 years. She also enjoyed scrapbooking.
Survivors include son, Daniel D. (Sherri) Parson, Marion; daughter, Denise D. (David) Murphy, Gas City; brothers, Harold Beck, Huntington, and Leroy (Thelma) Beck, Milo; grandchildren, Dr. Derek Murphy, Fishers, and Danielle Murphy, Muncie.
She also was preceded in death by sisters, Lela Herring, Rena Nash and Beatrice Smith.
