Rebecca Beebe, the second child of John Beebe and Rebecca Ladd was baptized[1] on 11 Aug 1630, in Broughton, Northamptonshire, England. She married[2] 2 Jan 1651, in Hartford, Hartford, CT, John Rusco, whom was born about 1623 in England, and died 1702, in Norwalk, Fairfield, CT. Rebecca's husband John was the son[3] of William and Rebecca Ruscoe, whom was one of the 14 original proprietors of Norwalk, CT. John is named in his fathers Will 5 Aug 1680 and was left 5 shillings. According to New York Settlers from New England, 1901, p 379, his father died in 1682 at Jamaica, Long Island. As inventory of John's estate taken on 20 Nov 1702, it can be reasoned that John died shortly before this date. John and Rebecca (Beebe) Rusco were the parents[3] of sons Thomas and John and five daughters. Thomas died unmarried; five of the other children were married.
Rebecca Beebe, the daughter of John Beebe, Jr., and Rebecca Ladd, was born in 1630 in England. Rebecca and her family immigrated to America sometime prior 1650 based upon the birth places of Rebecca's siblings. On January 2, 1650, Rebecca married John Ruscoe, also an English immigrant, in Hartford, Connecticut.
John and Rebecca would have the following children:
) Thomas Ruscoe Sr. (1651-1739)
) John Ruscoe (1651-1739)
) Mary Ruscoe (1652-1655)
) Mary Ruscoe (1654-1685)
) Rebecca Ruscoe (1656-1730)
) Ruth Ruscoe (1658-1720)
) Mehitable (Ruscoe) Lees (1662-1702)
Rebecca died in 1672 at around 42 years of age.

) Monograph, etc.; Page 12, 13: Rebecca Beebe (3), daughter of John Beebe (1) was baptized in Broughton, England on 11 Aug 1630. She was the second child of John and Rebecca Beebe. The marriage of Rebecca Beebe and John Rusco, of Norwalk, was recorded 2 Jan 1650. {Editorial, This marriage date is prior to the immigration voyage of Rebekah and her family. As this exact date is also recorded in the Hartford Barbour Vital Records, an explanation is warranted: possible explanations 1) the date is incorrect, 2) Rebecca came to the Colonies prior to her father whom sailed in May of 1650 or 3) The date is an artifact of the Julian calendar which was the standard calendar at the time--January dates should have been been recorded as 2 Jan 1650/1; if the /1 was dropped it would account for the data discrepancy}. In 1672, it was known that she had five children.
) History of New Haven; Page 680: Norwalk Sketches, JOHN RUSCOE the Huguenot, son of William Ruscoe (b. 1594). William came from Bellericay, in the County Essex, in the ship Increase in 1635, aged 41, with his wife Rebecca (aged 40) and four children. {Editorial John Ruscoe would have had to have been born prior to the immigration of his family in 1635 in order to be of marriageable age by 1651} John was married at Hartford, Jan. 2, 1651, to Rebecca Beebe, and had sons Thomas and John and five daughters. Thomas died unmarried; five of the other children were married.
