Biography
Per the 1850 census, he was born in Virginia; per his Find-a-Grave memorial, he was born in Ohio.
On the 1850 census, Benjamin, 38, and his family are enumerated on a page with two other Beem families, including the family of J.B. Beem, 30, and William Beem, 62. And enumerated with Benjamin are Richard Beem, 72, and Elizabeth, 67.
Cannot find the family in 1860 or 1870 census.
