Robert Riley Bean is the son of Samuel Wilson Beene and Millie (Roulston) Beene.
Robert married Eliza Ellen Parker (1885-1932) daughter of Isaac Alexander Parker.
Robert and Eliza were members of the Primitive Baptist Church. They had nine children, two of whom died in infancy unnamed.
