Biography

Richard Beke, esq. (d. 1606), of Haddenham, Bucks. is the father of Sarah (d. 1667). Sarah's mother was apparently Coluberry Lovelace, sister of Richard, 1st Baron Lovelace (1564 – 22 Apr1634).[1] This implies that Richard is the same person as Richard Beke of Erlegh Whiteknights, Berks., father of Henry (high sheriff of Bucks) and grandfather of Col. Richard Beke (a.k.a. "Maj. Beke").[2]

Marriage

m. 'Coluberry Lovelace (d. 10 Jan 1628/9; bur. Dinton church), dau. of Richard Lovelace of Hurley, Berks. Issue:

  • Sarah
  • Henry
