Joseph married Margaret.
"On 11 Mar 1802, a grand jury brought Joseph Belshee and John Gipson to trial for breach of the peace by fighting. In May 1802, Joseph's father died, but not before he removed Joseph from the will and gave "the land that Joseph now lives on" to his son Joshua. Joseph was found guilty of the above crime and was fined 10 cents in August 1802. In 1803, Joseph received a bounty for killing a wolf.
"Joseph died in 1804, and on 14 Jun 1804 his widow Margaret Belshe gave up her rights to administer his estate. John Ward took over as administrator of the estate."[1]
