Biography

Elizabeth Belcher was born in Braintree, Suffolk County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, 22 Jun 1677.[1] She was the daughter of Samuel Belcher and Mary Billings.[1]

Elizabeth married Thomas French of Braintree.[2] They had ten children in Braintree: Elizabeth, born 6 Dec 1696;[3] Thomas, born 5 Aug 1698;[4] Moses, born 16 Feb 1700;[5] Jonathan, born 20 Jun 1702;[6] Rachel, born 26 Mar 1704;[7] Samuel, born Sep 1706;[8] Abijah, born 25 May 1709;[9] Ebenezer, born 9 Sep 1711;[10] Sarah, born 16 Feb 1714;[11] and Seth, born 25 Oct, 1716.[12]

Elizabeth lost her husband, Thomas, in Braintree, 22 Sep 1717, at age 59.[13] The next year Elizabeth died in Braintree, 23 Dec 1718, at age 41.[14] She's buried in Braintree's Elm Street Cemetery (aka First Burial Ground of Second Precinct).[14]
