The original date 11 Feb 1750 that was in the profile does not appear to have a source and was inserted during a merge of another Samuel. It is in conflict with his brother's DOB of 8/27/1750 which is transcribed from a bible record and therefore the YOB has been changed back to 1753.
North Carolina Marriage Records, 1741-2011appears to show him with a middle name - this is highly unlikely based on his birth year. Vondrak-7 21:38, 10 February 2018 (EST)
Military
He likely was with the Guilford County Militia as a private during the Revolutionary War [1]
Migration
Left NC with uncle Robert Bell-884 and arrived in Sumner Co, TN near Bledsoe Lick about 1788. Later moved to Stones River near the Rutherford/Davidson county line.
The first will below is an abstract of the original and the second is transcribed by Paula Norman Snyder, May 2008 directly from the will book including misspellings .
