Biography

Newton Bell Green was born in 1812 in Georgia, the son of Curtis Green and Sarah Bell.

He lived in Livingston, Floyd Co, GA in 1860 per the census.
Newton Green was a member of Co. D, Floyd Legion, GA State Guards (Confederate) as a 2nd Lieutenant. [1]
He lived in Oktibbeha Co, MS in 1870 per the census - wife not listed - His age is noted as 38 but should have been 58!
