Paris Dooley Bell II was born on 24 Jun 1844 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, USA. His occupation was 'bartender'. His parents were James Daniel Bell (~1818 - 1882) and Mary Alice (Cox) Bell (1823 - 1863).
"E-2 Paris Dooley Bell, b 6-24-1844 MS, d 12-11-1905 Los Angeles, m Mary Wills, b Jul 1860 IL, who remarried. (Mrs. Knapp did not have more information.) Paris shows in the 1880 census, Bishop's Creek, Inyo Co, CA, page 517. He is with Laurence Mulvihill, age 45 born Ire."
Next was Paris Dooley BELL (Jun 24, 1844-Dec 11, 1905) Born Mississippi, probably Pontotoc, enumerated in Bishop's Creek, Inyo CA 1880, m. Mary A WILLS 1884, Los Angeles City directory for 1890 at E s Anderson Av bet East First and Clementina, Boyle Heights; teamster. 1892 Voter registration, Paris Dooely BELL is still a teamster, but lives at 119 Anderson Street. Then 1900 census listed as "farm laborer in 1900 census when the family lived in Compton. Son listed as Carl R BELL (age 13; b. may 1887, per census.) Dooley is dead 1905. Wife listed as widow in 1909 is the only direct proof I have. I think the death date I have came from either June or Mary Van Vleet; but it matches up to my grandmother's recollection that her Uncle Frank outlived Uncle Dooley (we had photos of Uncle Frank's visit to Washington after 1910.
