Susannah was born about 1788. She was the daughter of John Bellamy and Sarah Frink.
Susannah Hughes was named in the will of her father, John Hughes. The will was written in 1824 in Horry County, South Carolina, and proved in 1826.[1] According to the terms of the will, Susannah was "loaned" the use of the following enslaved people and their future increase during her lifetime. After her death, all these people were to be given to her sister Mary:

Susannah passed away about 1833. [2] In 1833, Cader Hughs takes administration of deceased wife's Susannah's affairs in Horry County, South Carolina.[3]
