Harry Elmer Bellamy was born on May 1, 1914 in Minnesota, United States, son of Fred Bellamy (1873– ) and Ida Christine Liljegren (1888–1974).[1]

In 1920, Harry was living in Morrison, Minnesota. [2]

Military Service

Harry served aboard the USS Leary during World War II. Leary was sunk by U-275 in the North Atlantic on 24 December 1943.Harry lost his life in this incident, and he is commemorated at North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial, Carthage, Tunis.[1]
