Military Service
Harry served aboard the USS Leary during World War II. Leary was sunk by U-275 in the North Atlantic on 24 December 1943.Harry lost his life in this incident, and he is commemorated at North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial, Carthage, Tunis.[1]
