Caleb Bellows was born July 29, 1767 in Walpole, New Hampshire. His parents were Benjamin Bellows and Phebe Strong Bellows.[1]
He married Mary Hartwell on March 6, 1791.[2]

"Like his father and grandfather he passed his life in Walpole, which, however, had then become too large to allow any man so pronounced leadership as they had exercised. He, however, held important town offices and was a colonel in the militia. He was a farmer and owned a very large amount of land. He had twelve children, of whom four may be claimed by New Ipswich."[3]
Caleb died on April 17, 1822 in Walpole and is buried in the Walpole Village Cemetery,[4]
