Sarah Jane Benham was born about December 19, 1842 in Virginia, United States, daughter of Sampson Benham (1808–1891) and Nancy Osborne (1815–1892).

In 1860, Sarah was living in Scott, Virginia. [1]

Sarah (22) married Edmond Minnish (26) (born about 1838 in Virginia) on February 26, 1865 in Sullivan, Tennessee, United States.[2] [3] Their children were:

In 1880, Sarah J (37) was in the household of Edmond Minnich in Fulkerson, Scott, Virginia. [4]

Sarah died on August 19, 1912 in Gate City, Scott County, Virginia, aged about 69.[5] [6] [7]
