WILLIAM N BENNETT was born in 1773 in Providence, Maryland, USA. He died about 1840 in Wadesboro, Anson, North Carolina, USA. He married SUSANNA DUNN. She was born on 23 Feb 1777. She died in Jul 1847 in Anson County, North Carolina, USA.
William N Bennett and Susanna Dunn had the following children:
  1. ISHAM BENNETT was born on 01 Apr 1803.
  2. WILLIAM BENNETT was born on 03 Nov 1804.
  3. LEMUEL BENNETT was born on 15 Apr 1806.
  4. CARY [Micajah] BENNETT was born on 27 Oct 1808.
  5. ROXANNA [Roxie] DUNN BENNETT was born on 13 May 1811. She died in Sep 1873. She married JOHN WESLEY FLAKE in 1828. He was born December 19, 1803. He died on 26 Dec 1852/4.[1]
  6. SUSAN BENNETT was born on 25 Mar 1816 in Anson County, North Carolina, USA. She died on 07 Oct 1894 in Anson County, North Carolina, USA. She married GEORGE WASHINGTON LITTLE. He was born on 30 Oct 1807 in Anson County, North Carolina, USA. He died on 28 Mar 1878 in Anson County, North Carolina, USA.
  7. RISDEN HAMMOND BENNETT was born on 25 Mar 1818.
  8. MARY A. [Polly] BENNETT was born on 26 Jun 1820. She married JOEL GADDY.
  9. NANCY JANE BENNETT was born on 05 Feb 1823. She married BENJAMIN INGRAM

Daughters Roxie and Susan and son Cary (Micajah) are also mentioned in the will of Neville Bennett who died August 14, 1820.

Bill - give me a week or so to confirm these connections. I have a stack of Bennett-related documents to look through before it would be wise for me to merge these records. I'm mainly referring to the line upstream from this ancestor. But several believe there is a missing generation or a nephew involved with a close name.

This is my paternal grandmother's line and I have gathered the wills, etc. I also have visited the cemeteries and discussed many of the discrepancies with Bennett cousins. I think we can sort these things out together.
