Note N115Mr. Dewey Bennett, 73, died Wednesday (December 14, 2005) at Satilla R egional Medical Center following a short illness.
He was a native of Millwood and lived most of his life in Ware County . He was the son of the late Julian Bennett and Dorcas Henderson Benne tt and was preceded in death by a brother, R. L. Bennett.
He was retired from Brockway Standard in Homerville and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Hebardville Baptis t Church.
The survivors include his wife, Colleen Sills Barnard Bennett of Waycr oss; four daughters, Brenda Sue Roundtree (husband Billy) and Teresa A nn Poulin (husband Donn) both of Macclenny, FL, Julie White of San Die go, CA, Dana Shine Beecher of Manor; three sons, James Allen Bennett ( wife Millie) of Jacksonville, FL, Robert Darrell Bennett (wife Tammy) of Macclenny, FL, Anthony David White of Alma; four stepsons, Wendell Barnard (wife Kim), Steve Barnard (wife Marie), Rodney Barnard (wife B ecky) all of Waycross, Jerry Barnard of New York, New York; three sist ers, Wilma OÌBerry of Manor, Ludell Roberson of Offerman, Evelyn Recto r of Pearson; three brothers, Huey Davis of Callahan, FL, William Benn ett and Warren Bennett both of Waycross; ten grandchildren; and one gr eat grandchild.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday (December 17, 2005 ) at Hebardville Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. T he family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home Friday nigh t from 7 until 9.
