Biography

Charles Bennett is presumed to have been born circa 1730, in Baltimore, Maryland. Charles resided in the Morgan District of Monongalia County, Virginia (present-day West Virginia).

Marriage

St. John's Parish Register, Joppa, Harford County, Maryland
Charles Bennett & Martha Collins were marr'd September 11th 1753." [1]

"Charles Bennett came into the district about 1778. He next settled on the Runner Farm,” five miles from Morgantown, on the Kingwood pike, where he remained until 1806, when he moved to Scioto County, Ohio, and died in 1825, at the remarkable age of 116 years.*

NOTE: FindAGrave has his death "1818" which makes him 88 not 116, but there is no source that he was even laid to rest in this cemetery.
