Note: {geni:about_me} Enlisted in the Union Army at Galen (Wayne County), New York on January 4, 1864 (age 43). He was mustered in January 5, 1864, as a private in the NY Heavy Artillery Regiment 9 Company G, to serve 3 years. He was at some point transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps from which he died on July 27, 1865 at Washington DC, and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. See photo of grave marker.
