Biography

Scott was born at Orange base hospital on the 12th of July 1989. He is the son of Pamela Kerrie Bennett (Davis) and Lawrence Arthur Bennett. Scott attended Trinity Pre-school in orange followed by Orange Public school Infants 1994-1996 Orange Public school Primary 1997-2000 Orange High School 2001-2006 Scott started his first job at KFC in 2004 but only worked there for 1 month until he got a job everyday after school and on Saturday mornings cleaning at local butchery Green Gate for Brian Mendham. Upon completion of his Higher school certificate in 2006, Scott left the butchery to persue a career in mechanics he started working for Ian Parker motors towards the end of 2006 washing and detailing customer cars. Upon the loss of his driver license in 2007 after an accident in which he was not injured he left Ian Parker motors and began a pre apprenticeship at orange tafe in mechanics. During this time he met his current wife Claire Lockwood through a mutual friend and they began dating in February 2007. Scott completed the mechanics course and did some work placements at different mechanic shops and soon discovered mechanical was not for him. He then worked for the reject shop of orange for several months but tired of the split shift lifestyle he started working for top wash car wash in orange this lasted a short while before Scott was offered a job Beekeeping for his partners father Grant Lockwood. Scott learnt the beekeeping trade under grant and his son Jon and travelled all over Australia for 3-4 years Beekeeping. In 2010 Scott went on a contiki from London across Europe this was his first time outside Australia and he spent 21 days travelling across Europe camping and on a bus tour he made some great life friends on the tour and thus began his love for travel. In 2011 he left the beekeeping game to work for Bunnings warehouse orange and gained experience in retail and customer service working various departments in the shop and doing various courses as part of his role there. He worked there until 2014 when Grant Lockwood offered him an apprenticeship in horticulture running the grounds of Grants Cafe The Beekeepers Inn at Vitoria between bathurst and orange. Scott completed his Horticulture apprenticeship in 2014 and stayed working at the beekeepers in as the grounds keeper. In 2015 he decided to persue his dream of having his own horticulture business and he started doing gardening jobs 3 days a week as well as running the grounds at the beekeepers Inn. In 2015 Scott and Claire Lockwood became engaged and soon after Claire fell pregnant. In 2016 Scott officially started working as a sole trader under his own name and his business officially began. He and Claire were married on the 5 March 2016 and had their first child Winston on the 19 May 2016. On the 5 June 2017 scotts father in law and mentor Grant Lockwood passed away from melanoma after a short battle. Soon after on the former advice of grant Scott bought a ride on mower and trailer as well as some other equipment and began offering mowing as part of his business and has been doing the mowing and gardening operating under his own name since. Scott has travelled to 17 countries in Europe and has been to Thailand and Cambodia and continues to travel the world when he can.
