Biography

Lenora Bennett, daughter of William M. Bennett and Louisa Carmelia Sligh or Sleigh, was born on 19 Dec. 1875 at Johnson County, Texas.[1] She appeared on the census of 19 June 1880 in the home of her parents at Johnson County, Texas.[2]

She married John Washington Stevens, son of Enoch N. Stevens about 1894 probably in Texas.[1][3]

She and John appeared on the census of 15 Jan. 1920 at Hale County, Texas.[4]

Lenora died on 12 Aug. 1938 at Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas and was buried at Center Plains, Hale County, Texas.[1] Later her remains were moved to Plot: Mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Park, Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas. Her memorial has a photo of her memorial stone.[5]
