Biography

"On Saturday, April 13, 1918, at Grace Hospital, Toronto, Mrs. Fanny Brooke, in her 63rd year, formerly of Thorlold, Ontario. Leeds, Yorkshire, England papers please copy" ^[1]

After her husband's death, the family moved to 103 Amelia, and lived there until Fannie's death in 1918. The Mt. Pleasant Cemetery inscription reads: "Fanny L Brookes ... died April 10, 1918"

"Samuel married Fanny Louisa Bennett daughter of Charles Bennett and Harriett Tucker, on Jul 2, 1874 in Clifton, Gloucestershire, England. Fanny was born about 1850 in Henbury, Gloucester, England. She had five brothers and two sisters and lived at Brentry cottages, Hendry, Gloucestershire. "^[2] Fanny died on Apr 10, 1918 of broncio pneumonia in Toronto, Ontario; she was buried in the family Plot K -16-10 Mount Pleasant Cemetery Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
