I've tried to add sources to show that previous documentation recorded here was wrong. Is it possible that someone confused the nickname "Jonnie" with William's brother, Jesse Johnson Bennett?
I believe that you meant to write "William F. Bennett, Sr." rather than "William F Jones Sr," correct?
Anyway, hope my research helps!

P.S. I found a " Capt. Jonnie Green" as the father of Louis Byrum Green, who married Nancy Ann Bennett. Maybe that's where the error of the name "Capt. Jonnie" originated. In other words, the correct name for this profile would be William F. Bennett, Sr., and can be merged.
