Thelma Bennett was born on 10 Jul 1915 at Guilford County, North Carolina, the daughter of Robert Joyce Bennett and Lillia Maude Mabe. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

She married on 19 Mar 1932 at Danville, Virginia to Donald George Longtin; ^[4] resided at 2809 Westchester Drive in High Point, North Carolina; passed away on 15 May 1972 at High Point, ^[5] and is buried there in Floral Garden Park. ^[6]

MRS. D. G. LONGTIN

Mrs. Thelma Bennett Longtin, 56, of 2809 Westchester Dr. died at 8:15 a. m. Monday in High Point Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been in declining health since 1968.

Mrs. Longtin was born July 10, 1915, in Guilford County, a daughter of Robert Joyce and Lilla Mabe Bennett. A resident of High Point most of her life, she was married March 19, 1932, to Donald George Longtin. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her husband, Donald G. Longtin of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Joyce) Workman of Rt. 3, Trinity; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Mae Coffman of Alexandria, Va., Mrs. James (Ethel) Sparto of 604 E. Farriss Ave., Mrs. Albert (Bert) Ridge of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. W. H. (Ludia) Evans of Richmond, Va.; and two brothers, W. R. (Bill) Bennett of Greensboro and D. C. (Cicero) Bennett of Orlando, Fla.

Funeral will be held at 4 p. m. Wednesday in Sechrest Chapel by the Rev. Elliot B. Stewart. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The body will remain at the Sechrest Funeral Home, and the family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 until 9.

Pallbearers will be Robert Ellison, Fred Bryant, Dexter B. Wellborn, Paul H. Apple, G. V. Fender, and Darrell Eller.
