Will of Samuel Clark

Samuel Clark died not long after he made his last will and testament on the sixth day of September, 1783, the will was proved in Randolph County’s September Court of 1783. Samuel Clark's will was duly proven in open court by the subscribing witnesses and ordered to be recorded in the Randolph County, September Court 1783. He lists sons as follows: Thomas, Edward, Samuel, George, William Clark, John and Joseph Clark

Dated the sixth day of September, 1783, the will was proved in Randolph County’s September Court of 1783. While Elizabeth is not mentioned by name, he mentions his former wife as being deceased and his wish to be buried next to her if at all possible. Burial

Samuel Clark states in his will as follows: "... first of all I command my soul to God when he shall be pleased to call it and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor, hereinafter named in the Graveyard on my own plantation as near to the Grave of my former wife as may be convenient and as to such worldly estate s it hath pleased God to bestow on me ..."

Elizabeth was born about 1728. She passed away in 1783.
