Richard was the son of Thomas Bennet and his wife Agnes Molins.
He married Elizabeth Tesdale, daughter of Thomas Tesdale of Berkshire[1]
They had issue at least 6 sons and 3 daughters;[1]
Ralph (Roffe) Bennett, succeeded to Moreden in Surrey;
Richard, died without issue;
Sir John Bennett, Knt, of London;
William, of Marlborough, died without issue;
Sir Thomas Bennett, Mayor of London, Knt;
Walter Bennett, Doctor of Divinity, married unnamed daughter of Mr Cotton, Bishop of Salisbury;
Agnes, married (1) Mr Harris; (2) Mr Vawer;
Bridgett, married Thomas Brikenden;
Elizabeth, married John Peirs, of Yorkshire
Richard had his will drawn up on 30 Jan 1573, describing himself as Richard Bennett of the College of Wallingford, Berkshire.[2] He made bequests to and mentioned:
