Birth Registration: 1888/17342 / Bennett Herbert Eri / Jane Elizabeth & Eri -- appears to be the registration of Herbert Evi Bennett (1888-1947) as per detail in Herbert Evi's military file.
Both children are named separately as sons in Jane Elizabeth (Ashby) Parkin (abt.1860-1941)'s will.
No birth registration found for Bert so far. It may be possible the birth year he gives in the military file is incorrect: he is roughly of the age where many young men, too young for service, would give a false year in order to qualify. One ancestry-com tree suggests a birth 17 July 1897, no source.
The NZ marriage, death, military file and probate file all call him "Bert" and not Herbert. His mother's will says "Bert Herbert Eri Bennett".
