DoB per family Bible record of Russell Williams and year of 1791 per age on 1860 census. Amos Sr. and wife Sarah Hamblin Bennett living in household of Amos Jr. and Nancy Perkins Bennett in 1860.
Notes
- Some male Bennett descendants of Amos Bennett Sr. b1791 have taken the Ydna test and match one another. They also seem to be close matches to other Bennett males; Levi b1789, and Ezekiel b1792-5 who were in the early Knox/Whitley County, KY records in early 1800's.
- Amos Bennett's last Tax Record entry is May 1862. I believe he died after this date and before 1863. Death Records are destroyed for years 1862-1863. *

In 1939 at the Jim & Effie Bennett Family Reunion in Gatliff, KY (Whitley County), many descendants living at that time gave information to Benjamin Harvey Bennett, (b 1888 , eldest son of Jim & Effie (Jones) Bennett) regarding the families descended from Amos Sr. and Sarah (Hamblin) Bennett. Most of the information has been verified by census records, deeds, vital records and etc.
