Mudgee Guardian and North-Western Representative Monday 7 March 1921 Page 15 Weddings. COOPER— BENNETT. Sacred Heart Church, Randwick, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Saturday, February 6, the contracting parties being Elvia Una, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Bennett, of Parramatta, late of Rylo, Lue, and William Francis, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Cooper, of Mullamuddy. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father (who gave her away) and was daintily attired in a gown of ivory crepe de chene. She also wore a beautifully embroidered tulle veil held in place with a circlet of orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of carnations, sweet peas and asparagus fern, which, together with a diamond necklet, were gifts from the bridegroom Miss Millie Bennett attended the bride, and wore a pale pink georgette gown and black tulle hat with streamers and posies. Mr. Eric Cooper carried out the duties of best man. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a set of gold sleeve links, while the bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a handsome diamond brooch and to the best man a suit-ably engraved set of gold sleeve links. After the ceremony a reception was held at St. Jude's Hall, Randwick, where the guests were entertained by the bride's mother, who was gowned in henna crepe de chene and hat to match. The bridegroom's mother was attired in a dress of black silk, with black toque. After the wedding break-fast was partaken of the happy couple departed per motor for the South Coast, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride travelled in a cream serge costume, with Leg-horn hat nicely trimmed with hand-made flowers. The presents were numerous and costly, including cheques from the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Cooper's home will be at Randwick.
