Augusta Ardella Elizabeth (Bennett) Lowder but called "Peggy" All of those given, middle, and nick names appear on numerous records. Agusta was after her maternal aunt (Augusta Amanda (Jones) Brown she was called, "Aunt Gusta") "Peggy" or Augusta Ardella Elizabeth's sister Roxanna Isabelle (Bennett) Seaman was named for another of their maternal aunts Roxanna Howard Jones, (she never married so she remained a Jones) she was called by these and her other nieces and nephews "Aunt Roxie" , and Ardella was a difference in spelling but was for her paternal aunt Ordella (Bennett) McPhetridge, I don't know where the Elizabeth came from, but have seen it included on some records and in family trees of those who were close family members to her. Sometimes multiple names can be confusing as only one of them shows up on a single record, or just the familiar nickname. Even among close family there can be confusion. My father's older brother Robert Clyde Bennett when he came Idaho in 1971 to look up Dad after not seeing him since 1940 (he thought it was 1939), when he asked in Orofino (he spelled it Arofino, Orofino means 'fine gold' in Spanish) and then Lewiston for "Alvin" Bennett or maybe Tom Bennett, he said in his writing about it, "Alvin had been using his middle name Thomas or Tom for some time I guess." Dad's name is actually Thomas Alvin Bennett so at home growing up he had always been called "Alvin" and Robert was so used to that name, he assumed it was his first name, but their father was also Thomas, but Thomas Smith Bennett, so he went by "Tom" and thus Dad was to his immediate family and even to his 1st wife known as and called "Alvin." Once he left home (at just 13 yrs) he went out 'west' and he always went by "Tom." There were a lot of repeated and passed down names in the Bennett family. Like uncle "Carl" was James Harvey Carlton Bennett etc, etc. Lilly B
